Well, I don't have a picture of me in my jammies, but I do have one of my daughter. She put on her new Buzz Lightyear pajamas and decided that her green rubber boots would match perfectly! I usually sleep in nightgowns, but in the winter I like to cover my legs. My mother-in-law has Santa bring pjs for everyone at Christmas, so I have quite a selection now. I love the idea of having a PJ Dinner Party! I know that you will enjoy it. Yvette

Our Grandma Elliott (my Mom’s Mom) always made us new nightgowns and pjs for Christmas. It got to be quite a job as we grew to nine grandchildren! I am the oldest with 2 sisters and 6 brothers. We open all our gifts on Christmas eve but always opened Grandma’s first. One year I put on my new nightgown and got stuck by several pins, poor Grandma apologized (with lots of hugs and kisses) and said by the time she got to mine, she must have thought she was done! This wonderful woman lived to 991/2 and I miss her still. She has been my inspiration in many ways.

Loved your picture with your cat! We have three at our house and they all like to sleep on my side of the bed! Affectionately yours, Peg

Hi Suzanne,

My mom has recently taken to given my sister and I PJ's on Christmas Eve. My sister and I are very far apart in age. I am 31 and my sister is 12, so we do not exactly recieve the same things for Christmas. My sister asked my mom if she would continue giving us PJ's when we are adults. Sometimes, my sister forgets that I am already an adult. LOL My mother happily said yes. I think it made her happy to know how much we enjoy getting the PJ's. Rachiel

Hi Suzanne,

The best pj’s I ever received was a flannel nightgown my mom made for me when I was a teenager. It was floor length with button-up collar and long sleeves. It was so warm and cozy. For many years, even after I was married, I wore that nightie when we went camping. Tenting in the Canadian Rockies can get pretty cold. I would pull up my legs and wrap the bottom of my nightie snuggly around me and would be toasty warm all night long. Just thinking about it made me wish I had that nightie a few nights ago when the temperature dipped to –37C (-34.6F). It's great to read with you! Marion

We too have a pajama trodition in our family.  My mother started it when I was just a girl, and I've kept it up over the years.  In fact this year everyone got two sets of pajamas, because i bought them, and my daughter, thinking I didn't have the money bought the kid's their pajamas too.  LOL!  The more the marrier I say.  Thanks for sharing stories.  I'm sitting here in pajamas and robe drinking a nice cup of strong black coffee.  Reading with friends.  Have a great day. Patty
