PJ4-PIC5Ahhh. Pjs. You and Mooch pooch looked divine in the jammies.:)

I love PJs. I am in my Betty Boop pink PJs as we speak. They are perfect for hanging out in the morning and reading the mail. Yes I am strange. I also have Tinkerbell, and EEyore PJs. My daughter has Snow White, and Piglet.:)

I remember a pair of PJs I got one year. Many years ago-think 1950ish.They had cheerful blue snowmen all over. Mom must have talked to your Grandma Hale. They were about two sizes too big, and made for someone at least 6" taller. But I loved them. They were cuddly and soft, and who can not smile at a snowman with a red scarf, holding a wreath over one arm, and wearing a top hat? He was a dapper gent.

Mom would make me clothes. Those clothes fit well. But the store bought PJs were always sized "to grow into." I don't think, even now, that PJs that actually fit me are OK.:) Mary

Suzanne,

My children, son and daughter, now grown and out of the house for many years,  are three years apart and every year for many years I would get them new nightclothes for Christmas, nightgown for her, pajamas for him and I would try to match them and usually I could.   Montgomery Ward, now defunct, would always have a great selection of these as well as all the great toys new for that year in their fabulous Christmas Catalog.  Thanks for the memories. Pat

Suzanne, I grew up in a family of 7 kids and we all had Christmas Pj's every year.  My mom loved to sew and she always made our pj's.  I'm not much for sewing but have always bought my kids new pj's for Christmas too.  When they were little, they all matched and were Christmas patterns.  Now my oldest son (15) won't wear them (prefers to sleep in his boxers).  My daughter, (13 ) wanted "feetie" pj's this year and my son (13) just wanted them to be soft.

Attached are a few pictures I dug up.  One is from 1960 of my older sister and brother and myself in PJ's my mom made (I'm the one with the hat to match).  The rest are of my kids over the years including this year's Christmas morning photo.

Thanks for always bringing up memories and making me smile.  Joanne

Hi Suzanne,
I remember footie PJs when I was a little girl. I haven't seen them in adult sizes, but they sure would come in handy in the Michigan winters! Every time I see 'A Christmas Story' movie, with the main character, Ralphie, in his bunny PJs with slippers, it brings back warm memories! Blessings, Andrea
