Heather Sharfeddin
 Heather Sharfeddin and her husband raise Blackbellies on their ranch in Sherwood, Oregon, 22 miles southwest of Portland. She also works as a manager for a computer software company, Best Software, in nearby Beaverton. A forester's daughter, she was born in Forsythe, in Montana's Rosebud County, then raised in remote, sparsely populated Riggins, Idaho. She later was educated in Missoula, Montana, 40 miles south of where her parents now own a cattle ranch.
Ms. Sharfeddin has had short fiction published and in 2004 won honorable mention for the Willamette Writers' annual Kay Snow Award. More information on the author and her work, is available at www.hlsharfeddin.com.
