My husband asked Connie Buckler, a local artist in Sarasota, if she could paint flowers on the window to cover up the divots and gray streaks. She loved the idea, and 10 minutes later her paints were mixed and the window started blooming.

For 25 years, this is what my husband and I saw when we looked out the window.

 

I love the flowers. They're so much fun! And when the sun shines through the window, an outline of the flowers shows up on our wood floor, underneath the windows. Below, is what the window looks like from the outside.
