When a Tree Falls...

photo

No, this isn't our car after the tree fell on it. Two days later, at 6:30 AM, there was another Boom! this time in front of our house. When Florida Power and Light came to pick up the downed power poles, the person driving this car was looking down, instead of straight ahead. It's lively at our house lately.

I’d never seen a flashlight this big. The woman at the power company appreciated my call. FPL left their flashlight behind. It’s so bright you can even see the beam in daylight.

This is the neighbor's tree. It's rotted inside so the entire tree has to come down.

Fortunately my bubble machine wasn't damaged by the tree, so I took a break from the stress, and went to the store and took advantage of end-of-summer deals on bubble supplies.

Our entire house shook when the tree went down, and it took power poles, fences, and other trees with it, too. And it all happened in a couple of minutes.

A tree-trimming crew took care of the fallen tree and debris. But now I'm going to have to replace my shade-loving plants.
