Bailey, my granddaughter, had never used a sewing machine before, so I was thrilled that she was interested in learning how to make a quilt. She stitched all the squares into long strips, and I helped her sew the strips together.
We put the batting inside the material and we’re rolling up the quilt.
When we finished I could tell Bailey was amazed that her quilt looked so good. I suggested she might try and sew something to wear when she got home, but she gave me a weird look.
So I asked, “Bailey, you do realize that someone sewed the clothes that you have on, don’t you?” Nope, she didn’t have a clue.
