My least favorite thing--mosquitoes. Unfortunately, they love me.

I like to sit on my screened-in front porch and relax. But last weekend somehow one mosquito got on the wrong side of the screen and I had eight mosquito bites. I tried swatting the mosquito myself, but I missed every time. Finally I hollered for my husband to come and track down the mosquito. The idea was that arms held out, I would be the bait and my husband was supposed to do the whacking when the mosquito landed on me. But the mosquito didn't bite... for our plan... but it did keep biting me, so I had to call it a night.

It's one of my favorite things--my 34-year-old hat.

I bought it when my husband and I were on vacation in Door County, Wisconsin, 34 years ago. It’s my go-to favorite hat. It looks divine with any outfit I wear. But my all-time favorite is falling apart, and unfortunately I’ve never been able to find another hat like it. I’m hoping with a little glue and some tender loving care, if I get lucky I might be able to wear my hat for another couple of years.

Another of my favorite things is my giveaway for today. A 2-cup angled liquid measuring cup.
It's the angled part that makes all the difference--makes it so easy to tell just how much liquid is in the cup.

As promised, to the reader who inquired about my bubble machine. Here it is. Every day I turn on my electric bubble machine in front of my house. The amount of bubbles my machine produces has a lot to do with the type of bubble solution, but the weather affects the bubbles, too. Too much humidity in the air and I don't get as many bubbles. But there were a lot of bubbles when my husband took this photo. It was a super bubble day!
