Chocolate Cupcake “Kiss” Surprise

3- 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup baking cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup melted butter
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
30 milk chocolate kisses, with, or without peanut centers
Frosting of your choice

Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cupcakes
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cupcake comes out clean. Cool cupcakes before frosting.

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Combine buttermilk, butter, eggs and vanilla. Add buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until well blended.

Fill paper-lined cups 2/3 full. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cupcake until batter completely covers candy. And now you’re ready to bake the cupcakes in the oven.
