We got the cookies today and they are so YUMMY!  This is a picture of me and two of my kids (Hannah and Jacob) enjoying the cookies. Don't worry we saved some for my older kids and my husband too! Thanks Suzanne. Best wishes, Christine

I am delighted with the cookbook I won, and have found some recipes that I can try before winter arrives.  Thank you so much. I really enjoy reading with you! —Chris

Dear Suzanne,

Thank you so much for the cookies. While a couple of my co-workers declined to be photographed, believe me, we all enjoyed them very much!  It was a great pick me up on a busy day. One of our girls who is out of medical leave even stopped in and was elated to get to have a cookie. We have all heard

so much about Suzanne and Paul's cookies, it was great to win some. They were kind of like a certain potato chip slogan...”you can't eat just one!” The gentlemen enjoying the first cookie of the day is Rick, our library director The other picture is from left to right:  Shelby (library volunteer), Lisa and Barb (me), Library clerks at the Westville Public Library.

Brooke-063Booke sent the folks at her library an email about the book clubs and her name was drawn in a book giveaway.

Dear Librarian and Staff,

I wanted to take a minute and say thank you!  I really love the Tarpon Springs Library and have been inspired to let you all know, what a great job you do!

I don’t know if you all are familiar with Suzanne Beecher and the Dear Reader email book club that she sends but she has challenged all of her subscribers to “appreciate their libraries” this week.  I thought it was a great idea!  If you are not familiar with her Dear Reader book club, email her and she might even personally bake her famous chocolate chip cookies for you and the staff.  She is in Sarasota, so she is sort of our neighbor.

I have never been a recipient of her “famous” cookies, but she has shared her recipe with her readers, and it is the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I make, and I always get rave reviews. One more thing, she is also an author, and her book is Muffins and Mayhem:Recipes for a Happy (if disorderly) Life is a great read.

Thank you for your time and for keeping our local library running smoothly!  Sincerely, Brooke
