My husband and I weren’t going to put up a tree this year. Instead we decided to string purple and gold Christmas lights in our yard. But when our son and daughter-in-law said they were concerned about decorating a tree at their house, because grandson, James just turned one, and they anticipated spending every minute trying to keep him from pulling the ornaments off the tree, my husband and I changed our minds. We invited everyone over for a tree decorating evening. Paul, our 3-year-old grandson did most of the decorating.
And now, to my delight, Santa will be leaving all of the gifts for the kids underneath our tree, and the joy of Christmas morning will be at our home.
